How to Make a Diaper Cake

A diaper cake is a great gift that anyone who has had their firstborn child and even though the title implies it is not as bad as it sounds a diaper cake is a cake made from diapers that can wrapped in shiny cake effect paper.

And if you actually saw one yourself you might think it might be quite hard to make one yourself because of how good they do look, most diaper cakes have three parts or tiers to them similar to how a wedding cake looks if you can picture that in your mind.

Starting with the first tier of the cake this will be made up of roundabout thirty two to forty five diapers, in the middle section of the diaper cake you need roughly between ten to fifteen diapers or you could add a few more if you wish it's all up to personal preference at the end of the day.


When you're putting the cake together you could secure them together with some tape or alternatively, use some safety pins instead make a round piece at the bottom to start your very first layer of your cake put some put some thin cardboard around your diapers and secure this with some tape.

Do the same with this layer is well as per instructions as before, the very last layer of your diaper cake will have things like rattles, bottles of baby lotion and anything that would relate to a firstborn child a small teddy bear anything you can think of really just let your imagination run wild.

When you have everything assembled then you will need some shiny decorative paper think about the sort that Christmas cakes have around the side most diaper cakes, have shiny glossy paper around the cardboard so it really does look like a real cake from a distance.
